Delivery

I aim to dispatch orders within 10 working days. Sometimes orders may take a little longer depending on stock levels. Once I have your order I will email you a confirmation and an estimated dispatch date. Delivery time after dispatch is dependent on destination.

My standard postage method is Royal Mail Second Class Recorded. After despatch, this should arrive in the next 2-3 working days, and your package will require a signature upon delivery. I will email you a confirmation of dispatch and a tracking number for your information.

Return & Exchange Policy

I am happy to exchange and refund your purchase, provided that the original product is returned to me unopened, unused and not damaged, in its original packaging (complete, sealed and unstitched), if returned within 21 days of receipt. Once a kit has been opened, I can no longer accept the product as a return for refund. Please note that postage charges will not be refunded.

 

Where a refund is requested, this will be processed via same tender as original purchase. If a credit or debit card was used for purchase, then the same card details must be provided to receive the refund.

 

Refunds cannot be processed without proof of damaged goods.

 

Exchanges can be requested; however postal charges will apply. For an exchange to be offered, the original product must be returned to me unopened and unused and not damaged, in its original packaging.

DMC:

Stitch of Paradise preferred palette for designing my charts and kits is DMC.

DMC thread numbers are universal throughout the world allowing for consistency in your projects and are available at many major retailers and online shops.

Designed with 14 count Aida. Above measurements will vary if different count aida or fabric used.

 

Thread Policy:

All kits contain genuine DMC thread. The required thread amounts, including starting, finishing and changing thread lengths is worked out for each kit via the software. I then add on to this 35%-50% extra thread depending on the complexity of the design for your peace of mind. Should you find you require more thread, I would be very happy to supply it at no extra charge.

 

Fabric Policy:

I only use genuine Zweigart or DMC fabric for the best results for your hours of stitching. For kits under 10cm an extra 15cm minimum is added onto the fabric cut for each kit. For kits 25cm and over an extra 10-15cm is added on for easy framing.

Kit Policy:

All charts are printed onto 160gsm heavy paper for longevity. The thread is pre-sorted so that you can begin right away. Fabric may be folded to fit the packaging but is easily ironed out to your liking. All kits include the best quality cross stitch needles to minimize hand-strain for relaxing sewing. Everything you need comes neatly packed into a recyclable clear A4 plastic wallet and trendy style bag to store your kit in.

Privacy Policy:

I'll only use your personal information as provided to me to print an invoice and/or shipping label. I have antivirus and anti-malware software on my PC and will never save or keep your details. Should I need to contact you about your order I'll only ever do so via the email / telephone and will never share your details with anyone else.

Do you sell ready made cushions?
No, this is a craft product - I only sell needlepoint kits.

I have never done this sort of thing before. Could I complete one of your kits?

Do I need to use a frame when stitching?
No, as cross stitch does not distort the canvas and therefore does not require a frame. If you notice any slight distortion to one side once the piece is finished, spray with water on both sides, leave for a minute, place on a clean towel and pull gently into shape. Dry flat.

I would always recommend a frame.

The canvas seems a bit stiff, does it soften up?

High quality products are provided. You can be quite rough with the canvas and it soon softens up. Don’t worry about creases in the canvas when you have finished - just follow the instructions above for finishing and it will lie flat once dry.

Do you include backing fabric, trimming and cushion pad with the kit?
I think that  backing and trimming are a question of personal taste, so are not included in the kit. Colourful backing fabrics, trimming and cushion pads can be easily found in department stores. 
 

I have noticed I have used too much thread, what can I do?

As the DMC thread colour code is provided you can either go to your local crafts shop to purchase more or send us your order number, the kit name along with your full name and Stitch of Paradise will send more thread via post, but please note postal charges will apply.
